You might have seen them in your fitness center, but either didn’t know how to use them, or thought they weren’t important enough to waste valuable workout time on. I’m here to prove you wrong. Stretching is essential to any workout. This form of stretching in particular will not only help you feel better, but will help to improve your performance, whether you are a runner, cyclist, or recreational fitness enthusiast. Foam rolling is a form of stretching called myofascial release. Although the specifics of it can get complicated, it helps release the tension in your muscles, allowing them to loosen up and remain limber. Let me explain.
