However, leaving it in the sun with small amounts of water or simply refilling it without cleaning it can lead to dirty bottles filled with not necessarily harmful, but definitely dubious, particles. Sure, you might not see a big fly floating but what about all the bacteria? Nothing is more effective than some hot water, soap and good, old-fashioned elbow grease. Be sure to let the bottle air dry completely before refilling it. Don’t forget to wash the cap too!(Continued...)
