Now, before you go reaching for the chocolate chip cookies, let me continue. When finding the perfect bedtime snack, you’ll want to find something that combines a little carbohydrates with the amino acid tryptophan. The combination of these two ingredients helps to calm the brain and can promote a better night’s sleep. A good example of a snack containing these two things might be a glass of warm milk with half a turkey sandwich, or a banana with a cup of chamomile tea.
