Tip for Today: Do You Drink Enough Water?

Did you know your muscles are made up of 70% water? Even more, did you know if your muscles are dehydrated by just 3%, they can lose up to 10% of their contractile strength? Although it varies from person to person, the average amount of water a woman should drink a day is 91 ounces, or 2.7 liters. This may sound like a lot, but this includes water from all sources, including food and other beverages. An easy way to track how much water you are drinking is to buy a sports bottle that measures out the fluid ounces for you. That way, you know if you’re getting enough water to keep your muscles healthy and strong!
