Although there are several warning signs of overtraining, a good indicator that you are is your resting pulse. If you think you might be overtraining, take your heart rate first thing in the morning, before you get out of bed. Do this for three days in a row, and take the average of all three days. If your resting heart rate is 10 or more pulses more then usual, this can be a sign you are training too hard. Some other symptoms include fatigue and loss of interest in your workouts. If you find you are exhibiting these signs, try cutting back on the intensity and/or the duration of your workouts. It’s always a good idea to see your doctor if the symptoms persist, or you become concerned about your health.
