This static stretch is a great way to stretch out your lats and open up the shoulder joint. To begin, hook the TRX up and adjust it so the handles are about a foot from the ground. Loop them together so it forms a single handle. Kneel down on one knee next to the TRX, with the leg further from it being the one you are kneeling on. Using your outside hand, reach over the top of your head and grasp the handle. Your upper arm should be aligned with your ear, and your forearm should be bent over the top of your head. Slowly allow your body to lean away from the TRX by letting your hips and shoulder fall away. You should feel a stretch form your shoulder to your hip. Hold this position for 20-30 seconds, and switch sides.
Remember: Only allow yourself to stretch as far as you feel comfortable, and you should only feel minor discomfort. You should not feel any pain or severe discomfort. If you do, you are stretching too far.
