trxThis move is a great exercise to increase strength in your core and chest. Although you use mainly your body weight, this is considered an intermediate to advanced move, and you should know how to perform a push up before trying it. You should also have adequate core strength and good shoulder stability. You will need a TRX system to complete it.

To begin, hook up the TRX and adjust it so the handles are about a foot off the ground. Lie on your stomach and place your feet in the handles. Place your hands flat on the floor and assume a push up position. Your arms should be straight and your shoulders should be in line with your elbows and wrists, and you chest should be off the floor. Do not allow your hips to sag. Perform a push up by bending your elbows and lowering your chest to the floor. Return to starting position by straightening your arms. At the top of the push up, pull your knees into your chest in a reverse crunch motion. Push your knees back out, and perform another pushup. Complete the entire move 10-12 times, or until fatigue.

Remember: Form is very important. Do not allow your hips to sag at all during this move by keeping your core engaged and your abs tight. You should not feel any pain in your lower back or shoulders during this move. If you do, check your form. If the pain continues, consult your doctor.
