Friday’s Poll: How important are fitness-inclined friends?

I love the New Balance Love/Hate commercial campaign. (No they are not paying me to say this, but it would be nice if they did.) Their ad is on one of the very first pages of the June Runner’s World.
Your friends don’t understand what you see in RUNNING. They just see how RUNNING drags you home early from the best parties. And how it kicks you to the curb the next morning before the crack of dawn. They just see the missed lunches, curious stares and constant mind games. And if they don’t see the other stuff by now, odds are they never will.
I wish that I did have some more athletic friends, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate my friends who aren’t as fitness crazy. Of all the friends I have, I’ve only run a race with one of them. I think it would be wonderful if more of my friends were bitten by the running bug. What do our fabulous HAL readers think?
